  • address mobility concerns

Program Objective

The Northern Home Repair Program (NHRP) is available to qualifying applicants residing in the District of Rainy River. The Northern Home Repair Program assists homeowners with affordability and housing problems so they may continue to live in their own home. The Program provides financial assistance to repair or rehabilitate homes to a minimum level of health and safety, including features that increase accessibility and address mobility concerns.

The Program is primarily aimed at seniors who live in substandard dwellings and cannot afford the repairs that are necessary to make their home safer. The maximum amount of assistance is $25,000, however, higher forgivable grant/loan amounts may be available.
