Located in Crossroads School (southeast corner), on Hwy 613N in Devlin, Country View Child Care Centre is a fully licensed Child Care centre by the Ministry of Community & Social Services with qualified Early Childhood Educators. Fort Frances

The Fort Frances Day Care Centre is a licensed integrated centre providing a warm and loving atmosphere to help all children grow together.

Children learn through play experiences. The children are encouraged to choose their own activities and to use them to their fullest benefit with the guidance of the Day Care staff.

We provide indoor and outdoor unstructured time where equipment lends itself to the child's learning process.

The staff provides planned experiences in art, story time, circle time, dramatic play, music, science, baking activities, special events and field trips.

The day is spent playing and learning respect, responsibility, sharing, coping in and out of one's peer group, developing creativity and most important a good feeling about ones self.

Each day a nutritional noon meal and morning and afternoon snacks are served to the children.

The Day Care Centre employs Early Childhood Educators (ECE Diploma or equivalent). The Day Care staff provides a loving, caring, stimulating and learning environment for all children.

The Day Care provides four spaces for special needs children.

The Day Care Centre offers programs for:

  • 10 Toddlers: 15 Months to 30 Months
  • 24 Preschoolers: 30 Months to 5 Years
  • 12 School Age: 6 Years to 9 Years

Fort Frances Private Home Day Care Centre

The Private Home Day Care program offers a comfortable home environment for children.

Licensed private home day cares are located throughout Fort Frances Enrolls children from infant to 12 years of age.

The caregivers in our licensed program offer child care in their own homes (maximum of 5 children). Subsidized child care is available on a limited basis. Caregivers are carefully screened, continually monitored and trained on an ongoing basis through workshops, conferences, etc. The caregivers must follow the Ministry of Canadian Social Services guidelines and the Day Nurseries Act.

Flexible days and hours of day care depending on the needs of the children and the availability of a provider for those hours.

Learn, Laugh and Play Children’s Centre

Rainy River Playschool Inc. is a Volunteer Non-Profit Board which operates the Learn, Laugh & Play Children’s Centre. The Centre began operation on September 30, 2006 and is temporarily located in the lower level of the Evangelical Covenant Church, our permanent location will be in the Riverview Elementary School. Our centre has learning areas such as dramatic play, arts & crafts, science, music and fine motor skills in a two-room setup. The children are grouped together according to age to better address the needs of the individual child.
